So I was driving up I5 right now and there was an accident up ahead and traffic was stop and go, the temperature here is 44° and it is raining! during the stop and go traffic my hellcat continued to heat up going all the way up to 249° according to the SRT pages temperature gage oil pressure was down to 35 pounds Oil temperature was about the same as water temperature. The electric cooling fan never came on as far as I could hear. I ran the heater on full blast. It took me a while to get onto the shoulder because of no shoulder on one side and five lanes of traffic
I'm sitting here in a $62,000 car with 1500 miles on it on the side of I five

The reservoir is full of coolant and the oil was checked if I had to guess the electric cooling fan is the issue

That sucks! Do you smell any coolant? If you don't hear the fans they probably aren't working right. When mine come on I can definitely hear them from inside the car as long as I don't have the radio on.

Any CEL's? Call for the hook. Sorry to hear about that. Check fuse?

Have you checked the fuses for the fans maybe they went out.

Haven't checked the fuses but the fans definitely never came on, it's easy to hear and usually only comes on while in stop and go traffic or when idling for a long time

The check engine light did come on and the center of the instrument cluster said hi engine temperature with a continuous beep
I have scrolled through the diagnostic information and there's nothing there

Did your power steering work normally? I assume it did or you would have mentioned that, if not, you may have thrown a belt or had the lower
crank pulley spin. Also, did your charging system work normally?

Sorry for you, it sucks. My car left me broke down 4 times in 7 weeks.

Just realized that I failed to say GOOD LUCK in my earlier post.

And, be safe on the side of the road.

The car cooled down to 180 and the accident cleared ahead so I drove into Seattle until traffic was bad again then pulled off to a restaurant my car ran at 203° for 10 miles or so until I had to pull off and go slow again

A "quick" trip to the dealer will hopefully get you squared away!
