I talked to my dealer that I buy a lot of MOPAR parts from about getting a pulley assembly from Dodge to start the process of having a few different sizes made, he came back and said you can't buy one unless the engineering department approves it and needs a VIN to even ask, now I could give any vin since they are all out in the open, but won't,LOL guess I will have to use the one on the car as I don't want a black flag on any VIN...

I don't think I would change the pulley until they can give you a custom tune. My plan it is to have a custom tune, see how I like it and if I want more ( yes ), will either turn down my pulley or get a smaller one.

To be honest, were not sure a new pulley can be made, there is a small clutch assembly that rides inside the pulley which is about the same size.

This^^^^^ and poof goes the warranty and your back in the arms of a after market shop spending more cash...Good custom yune for this car should cost anywhere from 1k to 3k ,,,never go budget tune or a canned tune on such a expensive car.
Let someone else find out the hard way as weve seem this all before many times over.
There's gonna be a few years of learning curves out there on this car I don't get why any would have to mod this thing immediately ..

Operation Lawn Chair is in affect!

Hope this works out for yah!

Doubt I will be the first one with a custom tune. My car is not yet built. Besides if I ever get it, It will sit until spring and the roads are clean. By then somebody will have a tune either good or gone bad.

We should have a thread called Hellcats gone bad. you know for crashes, blown up engines, blown up tires on burnouts, out of control burnouts .......

Also that is a one of a kind pulley engineered by Dodge that is spring loaded to allow it to freewheel under deceleration. probably be awhile before there are any aftermarket ones.

These over running clutch type of pulleys have been around for awhile now. The alt. pulley on my 06 GMC Duramax has one

should be a couple hundred bucks for the hardware, controller and cable and $50-100 bucks each tune written.

sounds like the pulley is got more going on then most with some drive parts affected. That may require more work.
