All kinds of rumors floating around such as the Challenger Hellcat may be replaced by a new version of a Cuda in 2018 or 2019 ---------- who knows ???

Prior to doing that I would love SRT to offer a Hellcat R not unlike the GT350R which would be a lighter race version of the current model.

Removing the back seat, radio, sound proofing etc. wouldn't bother me at all -------- don't need it, have my passenger car for that. -------------- not willing to give up the AC though !! :D

Additional engineering to get the cat down to "fighting weight" ---- under 4000 lbs would be nice !!

Again additional engineering to get significantly wider tires without them sticking out ---- NICE !!!

How about better rear axle gears and a 93 octane tune as well?

Sounds like a low 10 second machine to me right out of the showroom floor !!!

No harm in dreaming !!!! ;)

They already have the Drag Packs. The Cuda they have come up with will not make any V-8 loving enthusiast happy. :(

Jest saying the drag pack is not street legal. But I will agree with rollieman it would be nice to have a little more of a choice then what was offered. Even an after market performance packages would be awesome.

I agree they are not supposed to be street legal but I have seen pro mods on the street.. Street legal is a relative term. I'm sure pettys garage and many others can modify any cat to go just as fast and quick as the owner has money to spend!:)

They simply need to get it lighter, get AWD and adequate space for tires; parity is over for the "others".

they wouldnt call it an R

they would use TA (track attack)....id almost guarantee they'd use that retro name w/ the new Viper meaning

still dont see a 4500lb brick being made into a track edition, but then the Mustang isnt a lightweight either (the new 2015 mustang weighs more than the 2014)

Funny thing, Ford had to accommodate for buyers of the gt350r that want the backseat.

A TA/AAR variant would probably be built with something other than the Hellcat 6.2. Basically the same idea as the GT500 and GT350. The TA/AAR cars should be a lighter, nimbler, high winding package.

I'd love to see it. Drop a few hundred pounds, go back to NA hemi, and focus on handling....

You need more than a couple hundred pounds to make a legit handling car. Not gonna happen on this platform. Got the Viper for that.
