So this is going to be an interesting thread, I always loved to compare to Ford and Chevy how the SRT models always had an amazing resale value, but to a certain extent. My 2006 Grand Cherokee Srt8 was 49,000 brand new I didn't buy it new that was just the MSRP. I sold it last year with 105k miles for $20,000.
it was actually almost what I paid for it 3 years agowith 80k miles, that's amazing resale value it dropped and stayed consistent. What kills me right now is these dealers on used hellcats not private sellers because ive seen some fair prices. Hellcats with 8000K or more miles are selling for the same if not more!!! than a brand new one. what I'm trying to get to is that it doesn't make sense the math doesn't add up, if all of us enthusiasts know we can get them for MSRP they should at least drop a bit and stay there because we all know they wont keep going down but i don't know who would pay more for a used car than a brand new one either that or dealers are smoking crack and need to lay off i worked at a dealer for over 3 years whoever the salesman is making a fat check and dumb person buying it i feel bad for

I know but now you can get any color new anywhere at MSRP around the country I understand in 2015 but now its normal MSRP is almost everywhere but the used market doesn't make sense on them

Perhaps it is because last year was the first year the Hellcat was in existence? I bet the used market on them settles out within a year or two, as more used HCs become available.

that's what I was thinking hopefully within the next year or less plus 2017 models will be able to order in Octoberish so hopefully when more become used they will go down to the mid to low 50s and stay there then I will be happy a car with 8000-15k miles shouldn't be selling for same as one brand new I'm sorry 1000-5000 maybe

FCA is doing very good job controlling Hellcat Not in quantity but by color. I'd be surprised if you would find any low mileage car in low 50s next year .. may be M6

I know someone at Hendrick motor group one of the largest car dealerships in the country. I was told Mr Hendrick said no Adm''s on new Hellcat's but they could markup the used ones as much as they want. Made no sense at all. I went to Hendrick dodge in cary nc. They had 6 Hellcat's at that time for sale, 4 new ones and 2 used ones. The 2 used ones they where asking more then the original sticker, the other 4 at msrp. Made no sense to me or the salesman.

That's a bunch of crap. They still want 10k over in Concord. Not to mention they will skip over you for the next highest bidder. Don't get me started on ol Mr Hendrick.

They had a 2015 Torred Challenger Hellcat with Nappa/Alcantara seats, nav, and A8 in Concird. It had 42 miles on it. I know the miles were low, but it had been titled nonetheless so it was used. They had it listed for $73,900. I called and they basically laughed at me when I offered $64,000, which is about what it costed new for 2015. I asked how could they possibly think they'd get a $10k adm on a used car. Needless to say i bought new elsewhere for under msrp. They really seemed out of touch with the current market. I hope no one paid that price for it.

Up here they are still asking 10-20k ADM. Looked at trading my 2015 in for a 2016 and they offered 10K less than trade in, yet they'd sell it for 10K over trade in. I kept my 2015 that I paid MSRP for, plus 1st year cars usually will be moe valuable if held on too.

If I'm not mistaken, isn't the warranty less on the new models from the 2015? It was a 6/100,000 down to a 3/36,000?
