So the hellcat comes with a Harmon 18 speaker premium audio system. This is my first challenger so my question is where do they put all those speakers? I can see one in each door, a few in the rear seat area, a sub and maybe a couple in the dash area but that's only around 8 to 10? Sorry if the answer is obvious being I have never owned a Mopar car, only trucks, I am just curious :) Thanks!

Thank you boss! I assume the subs will be behind or under rear seats?

I believe there are to be 18 speakers, plus a subwoofer in the trunk. With HK fidelity, and 900 watts, this system should sound incredibly good! I just hope there is an easy way to add CD player, as it appears that it's for those modern folks, with MP3 players and such, and I really just want to be able to listen to compact discs, as I am very accustomed to doing...

I'm not sure. When I sat in a 2015 model I counted a bunch of speaker locations, I didn't see the subs.

If indeed that means 18 speakers in the passenger compartment, plus two more (subs) in the spare tire well, is that some kind of record, for a factory vehicle?!? Bet it sounds awesome, albeit without the booming bass of an aftermarket system with bigger subs/enclosure!

Yes, places like Best Buy and Car Toys always have a manual that gets updated that they download and have parts that allow conversion of the factory sustem to work with external add on power amps.

The Sony system in Ford's are really great,, like really really great.. and I like my beats audio in my 300, and my wife's alpine in her Durango sounds good for a factory system..... but I will still drop a sub in the challenger

With only 900 watts powering 18 speakers...you will AT LEAST need to add another amp just to run some larger subs. 900/18 = 50 watts per speaker...not nearly enough in there to power 2 10's, let alone 2 12's. They will need an extra 1000 watts alone, at the minimum (for a pair of quality 10's)...I have one JL Audio 10" sub in my F250 and it has it's own mono 500 watt amp. Check out Crutchfield.com once they have the specs on them for aftermarket amps and wiring harness's, plus all the other little adapters you might need.

I doubt you'd want to do that. What it takes to power an aftermarket sub, ohms and rms for that sub...would be better to go full aftermarket to push it.
