I ran into trouble installing the strut tower brace in my hellcat. I started the installation on the driver side, kept everything loose, and the passenger side wouldn't fit. Perhaps I did something wrong but it seemed off.

The package came slightly damaged and I'm curious if it is bent. Can anyone who has an uninstalled bar lay it flat and see if one side of the strut brace doesn't touch the surface. The images below show the passenger side touching the counter and the driver side has about a 1/2" gap. I want to make sure this is normal before I try the install again.

i'm not a mechanic... it looks like you got the Razors Edge front strut tower brace... my box was damaged too.... i got mine installed by a mechanic and he told me it was work for the front one... just take your time. i would start on the passenger side first.

I did mine in the garage in less than an hour. If I remember correctly, it was a tight fit.

This image shows the passenger side mount that I could get to fit in my first attempt. The other 3 mounts were fixed in place but this mount was tweaked and the bolts wouldn't thread or fit into the holes. Haven't tried again though. I have since been told it requires significant pressure to get to fit.

Also shown is the windshield wiper mount that did not fit. I suspect it could be because the bar wasn't fitting correctly and a small tweak may get it to rotate closer to the motor. 20151122_161100.jpg 20151122_161215.jpg

I had no trouble installing mine. I did leave all the bolts loose until everything was lined up and then tightened evenly. Only issue was drilling some holes for the wire clips, etc that they left out. Fitment was better than the MOPAR strut bar I installed on my 09.

Looks like it should have been there from the factory. I won't comment on the handling change because I have not driven it enough yet. Strut Bar Full.jpg

The car body may be a little twisted when the car is sitting on the ground because big power does that. Put the car on a 4-point lift, raise it off the ground slightly and the bar will probably drop right on and fit perfectly.

This may be your problem........Make sure you take the plate out from under the coolant tank on the passenger side, install the brace and put the plate on over the brace and then put the tank on top and reinstall. As usual the instructions from Razors edge are bad.

    Hello,

We had the manufacturer reach out to you last week and he left a voicemail for you. Just spoke with him and he says he has not heard back from you. It will be a tight fit, but that bar will bolt up. We are sending you out all the other tabs (waiting on one to get here tomorrow) so you can look. The tab you have is the Challenger one, but we are getting the others out to you to try.

The number that the manufacturer called you from is hi s Personal Cell Phone and he will be happy to assist you with this.

    Thanks!
    Chris
