Just finished up tuning another Hellcat, this time with HP Tuners.

Seems to me a much better alternative to Diablosports CMR.

Managed to squeeze out an extra 44whp and 28wtq.

The extra HP 10whp comes from increasing the rpm limiter which is a must, especially when these cars have a linear power output. I'd love to try increasing RPM to 6800 to see how much extra power it would actually put down, but a bit worried of hurting the engine.

Final numbers were 696whp and 659wtq! These were with 95f ambient conditions and a little humidity in Kuwait.

Can't wait to see what these things will do once we get those pulleys installed!

Problem is the ones I've tuned are all automatic, and there is a rating of 720hp on the transmission. Any ideas for upgrades?

I know Southern Hot Rod has a War Viking A8 available. I believe they have some behind supercharged Jeep SRT's. Might be an avenue to explore.

I'm glad I can't afford a Hellcat yet, I can let everyone else do the preliminary testing and blow shit up. Then I can decide what I want (REALLY want a manual, but the auto is head and shoulders faster).

Can the HP tuner increase the automatic transmission shift points, say from 6000 factory to 6250?

Souther Hot Rod is a JOKE lol !!!
They can Blow Up some stuff that is about It.
I would run like Carl Lewis from that Shop.
I Smoked a War Viking in 2 runs at the track.
I am sure they are good with bolt on basic mods.
But the Hard Part Go Fast stuff it's learning in progress.

He is right, on the learning in progress, those are great numbers for just tuning with that D/A. That may be like 710 HP on a cooler day! Nice work. This stuff is getting better and better.

SHR is the only one I've seen doing anything with the 8, that's why I mentioned them. I guess I was under the impression they were regarded well in the LX/LC world but I may be wrong.

The factory shift points do stay the same in D, but we did find out that in "Manual" mode, with setting RPM cut off higher, it wouldn't bounce of the rev limiter like stock, but actually shift at 6500rpm by itself. No more missed shifts and alot more power.

I ordered diablo sport pcm and trinity. I had used them in the past good product but forgot how bad customer service was. They don't put the tune on the trinity you have to and download from website and the instructions send you to the wrong place on the website. After finding the install for dodge and updating the handheld, I found out they did not have a tune for Hellcats !!!! So off to e mailing customer service and having to hound them or just return the dang thing. Man I am thinking about going back to school and learning tuning I have so many friends and hear so many complaints about great shops that just don't know business or customer service. They get backed up and are so disorganized. I guess really talented in building hotrods but need to hire business people to run these places. The is a real need out there and a huge amount of money to be made for someone who understands customer service and can manage these shops. Just my thoughts., So any other tuners out there anyone has used? All the shops up here are backlogged (NC)

I believe you need to email them the stock tune of your Hellcat. While other cars can take a generic tune, I dont think the Hellcat is the same. I do agree they have some general communication problems, etc., but you will have the same steps to follow no matter what tuner you use. I have also heard Diablo has more tunable options vs. others.

All this info is what I have picked up from reading other threads on the topic, so definitely feel free to do your own research. I dont have my Hellcat tuned, so I am not going off personal experience at this point.
