    Part 1

Decided to install the Valentine 1 using the BlendMount and the HardTap hardwire kit; figured documenting it might be helpful to someone. This will be the same for any other radar and mount combo.

Step 1 - Passenger side A-Pillar removal. This can be a little tricky but you basically pull from the top and slip your fingers down both sides of the cover and gently pull with some pressure. There's only two anchoring points with clips and it will eventually pop off. Don't man handle it, take your time.

Step 2 - There is a safety lanyard that needs to be removed for the A-Piller to completely come off. Use your thumb, and while pushing the tab in, remove from the metal clip by sliding it upwards.

Closer look of the tab connected to the A-Pillar:

The metal tab it slides out of:

Step 3 - Install BlendMount. Pretty straight forward; comes with instructions.

Step 4 - Mount the Valentine 1 and run the HardWire cable up to the head liner and tuck in while guiding it towards the A-Pillar. Recommend you connect it to the Valentine 1 in order to get a proper clean look.

Step 5 - Zip-Tie the HardWire to the existing wire loom that is in the A-Pillar. (I used 3)

Step 10 - Remove the LED connection from the lower cover.

Step 11 - Gently pull down the glove box while closed. There are 3 tabs that hold it in place.

Step 12 - Remove the plug unit in the lower back by sliding it to the left.

Step 13 - Remove the glove box light connector from the top.

Step 14 - After removal locate the large grey connector.

Step 15 - Connect the HardTap to the pink with purple stripe wire.

Step 16 - Attach to the ground wire to bolt in the door jam.

Step 18 - Replace all trim pieces that were removed in the opposite order and you're done!

What Blendmount model did you use? I still have the one from my 2012 that I'm thinking of using but I think the bracket is different.

Excellent write up and can easily be used for other installations as well!

Hello! Thank you so much for posting, HOONAGN. This is execellent. I'd like to confirm that the blendmount ID-DOD-005 is their SKU BMX-2002. Yes? Just want to get it right. Thanks again!

It really is easy but understand you fully. Just make sure the guy doing it treats your Hellcat better than you would.

Also, if anyone in SoCal wants to do this - just hit me up. I have no problem helping out for a beer, or two, or three! :p
