Hello all, I've got a hellcat on order at a local dealer, but who knows if I'll get it. So I have started exploring back up options.

What are the differences between the 392 and hellcat other than different badges and hellcat engine? I assume the headlight hole is on the 392? Why isn't the racing stripes an option when ordering the hellcat like the 392?

Love this forum and hope everyone has had a great holiday.

    Thanks for any help!

I just traded my 2012 SRT8 for my Hellcat and I had them both sitting side by side at the dealer, from the outside to the untrained eye I think the SRT8 looks more eyecatching and aggressive. The stripes and wheels are more showy on the SRT8 but the Hellcat hood stands out as being different. The hellcat exhaust tone is WAY better (louder) than a the stock SRT8 tone. I personally like the understated look of the Hellcat it draws far less attention LEO's which is why I also wanted and got a billet silver car. The interior of the 2015 is totally different and upgraded from my 2012. In my neck of the woods (eastern MA area) there weren't lot of SRT8's and people always asked me about it, I'm curious to see how folks react to my Hellcat. Ken H

And NO there is no headlight hole on the 392. The hole is the air inlet for the supercharger.

All the new challengers inner headlight has a hole, you just need to remove the plastic piece ... SRT 392 has the same suspension , Same brakes, same seats, different rear spoiler, same hood minus heat extractors, Dash reads 180, not 200.. Doesn't have a red key, and you don't get to choice the HP.. Plus it comes with Hyper black wheels...And it has larger mufflers, And chrome tips, and gas door, and different from bumper cover

Don't be sorry, I studied these cars for months, I was going to get the 392 if my hellcat didn't show up...
