Finally - rims and tires are all mounted up - one got scratched during tire install, but the tire shop has already ordered a replacement...on back-order of course, but two dealers have one in stock. We'll see. They were upfront and honest...no sense in being concerned about it.

Also took the time to install the carbon ceramic brake pads - pretty straight forward - just amazed that the rear pads don't just eject based upon the two pins that hold them in :)

Installed 275/40/20 Continental Extreme Contact tires - not really interested in drag racing yet so they were my preferred choice based upon great reviews all over the web. Really nice tire, I'll let you know how they compare to the Ps.

I love the hyper black, but just like the black rims, the finish is really thin on these things. It's also not really a black with some type of tinted clear...it's really more of a gunmetal with no texture and a lot of gloss. I could see being able to recreate this via powder coating or paint fairly easily.

I'll post my silver rims and tires (512 miles) for sale and/or have them powder coated if they don't sell as silver. I can honestly see everyone wanting to powder coat their rims at some point. The factory that made these rims were clearly using the very minimum to achieve the look.

Those look really nice. That must have been what was on the Viper at my Dodge dealers. I had taken a picture and they looked like that. Anxious to hear how you like them for cleaning. I will powder coat mine this Summer. Haven't decided if I will increase the gloss or not.

Quick trip to Fredericksburg for lunch. Love these tires. Way more grip. Firm, buy forgiving.

Like the hyper black as opposed to the silver finish. Looks great on your black car. A more refined look. Congrats. Where did you score the hyper black wheels?

I have a granite coming and the hyper black seems ideal! Are they 9.5 width like stock hellcat wheels?

I swapped with a 392 owner. I actually was very lucky and scored a local set of the black ones (I had already painted mine) and posted an ad...he literally got his car that Monday and we FedEx'd the rims to each other.

Let me know what you think of those Contis after you get some experience with them. I've never been a fan. I think they are too soft (sidewalls) and they tend to bubble sidewalls (at least here where our roads resemble goat trails). This is based limited experience (I've driven a few cars with them) and know several people that have them. I've never been a fan but they may have improved over time.

They do get rave reviews. That is what got me interested in them the first time around. I hope you like them and get good service from them.

Edit: BTW.. The Hyperblack rocks. I gotta find a set of takeoffs!

Can't say enough about the brake pads as well....120 miles today and a very light coating of dust...before, my silver would be noticeably covered in brake dust.

So far, just what I needed.
