Cincy Speed had an open house and dyno day today. $40 for 2 pulls so we couldn't really pass it up. caren wasn't too happy with her numbers, I was happy with mine. I'll let the video do the talking..
EDIT: After quick research it seems these are corrected numbers based on the weather conditions, to the most accepted standard, SAE.. rather than STD or uncorrected which would read even higher. Smoothing is just to make the lines (HP/TQ and Air/Fuel) less jagged...
Both cars were flashed on April 13. PCM and TCM on the Challenger, TCM only on the Charger (PCM update did not show up in WiTech due to when the Charger was made).
Pulls were done in 6th gear as that gear ratio is 1:1. Went up to indicated 197 mph in the car, 198 and 199 for a very brief moment on the dyno's output screen. All pulls were ran in manual mode (shifter in M) and ran to 6250 RPM.
On a Dynojet, you will probably get less running in 6th, with all other factors being the same (SAE vs. STD for example), due to the higher than 1:1 ratios in 4th and 5th. If I remember right, aren't you the one that had your rear brakes fried on the dyno, too? Dyno operator should've known to run in 6th, or at least asked or looked up.
I read somewhere that people are dynoing in the lower gears so the engine doesn't heat soak by sitting and pulling revs while not simulating 150+ mph winds through that big snout.
Remember the air this thing sucks in bows the hood up at just 85 mph, and it only stretches further from there.
Both cars have the same tire and did not appear to be spinning at all. In fact, her tires have more tread on the rears than mine.
That said, there were some issues getting a RPM reading on her car initially for those two pulls in the graph shown in the video, might explain some of the drop. That said, the pulls and the graph in the video were the 2nd set of the day for her... on her first two initial pulls her peak was even lower (635 HP), but as it turns out, the A/C was on.. LOL.
Not officially, we've never lined up next to each other. That said, she's never pulled away from me.
I was telling her that the interesting thing about her numbers... when I drive her car, I don't know if it's because I drive it a lot less or not, but when I drive her's it actually feels faster to me for some reason, lol... but with somewhat lighter weight and apparently more power, clearly mine is faster.
I'm willing to bet that Caren's car is closer to yours than what the dyno showed, the guy running the dyno should have seen the anomaly on the graph and looked into it, but for 40 bucks, ahhh

Yep, her's was built 2/20/15 but did not show PCM needing to be flashed. Interesting...
The other interesting thing is 6th gear going up to 191 mph in your's, and also in a video that Motor Trend did on K&N's dyno where 6th also went to 191 based on the digital speedometer. Neither of our cars were shifted into 7th gear as they were in manual/M mode... previously logged top speed on my car was 147, 140 on her's. They now read 197 and 198 respectively.

Well, her first two pulls did not have the 5200 RPM anomaly but those were done with the A/C on, LOL.. and resulted in 635 HP. I then got on and did 681 and she wasn't happy, so we paid for another two pulls... but at that point ended up being the last of the day and those guys had been doing cars from 9am-4pm and it was already after 4 and didn't want to keep them there any longer. We'll probably run back to back again at some point.
Dyno days can be fun for the most part but I've seen more guys go in stiff and come out like they jumped into a frozen lake,LOL not that the number matters much other than conversation for the 99% but you do want what everyone else has and paid for, Caren get a rematch..........
TC
I was already demanding a re-count on Saturday. I'm so disappointed that mine pulled so much lower...the lowest we've seen. It's really bothering me that the numbers weren't at least a little closer. And knowing that other Chargers pulled as high as he did makes me even more bothered by the whole thing.
My car goes back to Dodge next week for a fix on the rear speaker and a flash on the amp, and I'm going to make sure the PCM flash gets done as well, whether the computer tells them it needs it or not.
