Find a dealer and try them on. Make sure it is Snell rated. For a car it should be SA for meeting flammability standards. A snug fit is important for best protection. Here is a link for good information. IMO fit is more important than brand.

I'm looking at racing helmets and see many options, obviously. So, I turn to the racing gurus on the site to guid me in the right direction. I'm looking at full face, good, bad or HELLS no! Thanks

No, I deleted them. I seriously give up. I am not going to post crap just to post. People will get more annoyed with me than they already do! :D Don't need Hellcat hate mail.o_O I really want to get a helmet. The weather is getting better and I want to be ready to hit the track. It's why my daily driver is 707hp. Not just for groceries.:)

If you want to get a helmet:
Find a dealer and try them on. A snug fit is important. Different brands with fit differently. Try different brands and one size smaller and larger to find what fits best.
Make sure it is Snell 2010 SA rated. The Snell 2015 certification will not be available until later this year.
NHRA (if that matters to you) mandates a full face helmet for cars faster than a certain 1/4 mile time.

Thanks. I believe someone here said anything under 11.5 in 1/4 mile. Since my Hellbaby has superpowers, I have no doubt he will be there in no time. I have not read the regs. I cheated and went the easy way asking the pros here. :D

Actually, anything under 13.99 and you'll need a helmet.
Here's what I use (in gloss black): Sport Racing Helmets Bell Racing USA

I do not know what brand mine is, but it is an open face one. I have had full face, but with wearing glasses it is a real pain to put the glasses on after the helmet
