Saw the VIN #1 production vid and it was all black before they painted red. It was evil and mean and awesome. Like the slate but may look gray on cloudy day. The jazzy pearl is interesting as well as white pearl. Will the hood vents show well on black satin ?

I have owned a jazz blue challenger.... it does look good. at night it looks black under certain conditions. I went with tri pearl red this time... from one extreme to another.

Depends on your dealers allocation, If they have one and are going to build it right away go for the options and colors that are available now. If you are in line for an allocation then choose something that will be late production like the B5 Blue or Jazz Blue with the Brass Monkey wheels. Maybe add the black hood.

I could have had my car built by now but I decided to stay with the satin black hood option, looks like it will have cost me 4-6 weeks ( no big deal in the long run ). Most of us will have our cars in the Spring so it really doesn't matter when they ship them. BUT because they are new we are all pretty excited ( well at least Tammie is) to see them showing up at the dealers.

The b5 blue and brass monkey wheels aren't options when I build online at dodge site...will the black satin hood look good with the blue either jazzy or b5?

How was the need to keep perfectly polished on the jazz blue? Did the black highlights show enough? Think they will with the hellcat and black wheels and grill and perhaps hood?

Dealer can tell you more about when on the colors, but I don't think there is a wrong way to option one of these out. I like all of the colors. We went with TorRed since I never had a red muscle car.

Wow. That's sexy. This helps so much. Thanks tons! Jazz blue it is...now just have to determine if black hood or not? Any thoughts on that?

I don't think it would stand out. but I think it would look cool. it was tough deciding not to go with the jazz blue. I haven't seen many jazz blue Challengers around either. I have never had a red sports car, so going with tri pearl red. Put on a nice coat of wax/sealant and the Jazz blue is like glass. I used Wolfgang on it. with the red calipers on the black wheels, it should look good also.

I enjoyed that car, but its time for the H-Cat. I just need Dodge to start cooperating.

Does anyone know the difference between the Phantom Black Tri-coat and regular black paint option ?
