Might not be the correct forum so I am attempting a few.. My hellcat is a manual 6 speed has 1200 miles on it and has developed a noise that sounds likes a pronounced click or garment mount noise on acceleration/ breaking and also has a strange sound under the hood when in gear at about 2k-3k RPM. By the way you can hold the shifting rod down by the leather and feel the powertrain move forwarded and backwards about 1/2 inch on breaking and acceleration corresponding with the click/ garment noise on breaking or acceleration. Dealer confirms the symptoms but cant identify the issues so has a factory engineer coming out to provide advice. Anyone have the same issues?

Damn sorry to hear about this issue.
    Possible broken transmission mount?
If the dealer is not helping call the SRT Hotline and find a different dealer.

With that much movement I would look at the transmission mount and the motor mounts. That's way to much movement for just the trans mount.

That's s what I thought forward/ reverse shift in drive train is common to motor mount issues. They inspected and tightened all mounts and all were okay. They admit that they are not the SME on Hellcats and are flying out a factory engineer to provide input.

The dealer knows well enough to only let the shop foreman / expert work on my rides and I know him and trust his abilities.. Hard to find but comfort when you do.

How do you know there is excessive burn of oil? It's common and more likely that it wasn't full to start with..
