I can't wait for my local drag strip to open the first week of March and been spending hours on this site just taking in all the information everyone has shared. As I see the ET's improve with pully swaps and tunes etc.....I started to wonder what I would run here at my local track? Albuquerque drag way is at 4900 ft and in March the DA is usually around 5700 ft. With that said I will run with Mickey Thompson DR's 275/40/17's on 17x9 wheels, stock air box with and without the oem paper filter, dss al drive shaft, and thinking of adding Vp 101 race fuel though not sure how much . A Vp gas station just opened up a few months back so I thought about maybe 1 gallon of 101 and 5 gallons of 91 octane? Anyone in the group face similar conditions? What was your best ET in high altitude?

You should watch for a gentlemen who knows how to drive his 2015 Black A8 SP Challenger very well on that track. Good friend of mine, great guy, if you see him his name is Eric.

Thank you Sir, I think I know who you are talking about, he is a local news anchor ? The local news did a piece a few months back on his car and drag racing.

That's your man. Loves drag racing and loves his Mopar. He and I had near exact 06 300SRT8 in the very rare steel blue metallic. We started back on the 300 Forum, we are both on the Challenger Forum. I have been to that track with him. Nice spot.

My A8 Charger ran 11.2@124mph at 3200ft.Dead stock with sticky tires. That should give you an idea.Wasnt launching as hard as I wanted to as I waited and waited and waited for a driveshaft that didn't show up before the race.So I raced it anyway:eek::eek:.

Well this morning on a back road I did a 1/4 mile run using the timer On the performance page. I ran a 11.7 at 124mph, spun the tires and fish tailed so room for improvement there. When I install my DR's I'll have a better launch. But just curious how accurate the performance page timer is?

Thank for sharing, My track is just a few hundred feet below yours so that gives me a pretty good idea where I'll be.

Same mods here. Best I could do was an 11.9. However that was with the aFe CAI. Next trip I'll have the stock air box back in.

I'll be going to 3:09's too. Should see an 11.4 or so. Not going to do anything to hurt the motor warranty. 20151007_230734.jpg
