Hey guys my buddy is looking for a challenger hellcat and there is 2 he is looking at. The prices and Km are in canadian so keep that in mind. Theres a red one for sale for $77,777 with 9,000km with the brown leather seats. The other one is a green one for $86,500 but with only 1,400km on it without the leather seats. The red one is about 7 hours away and the green one is about 30 minutes away. He was wondering would it be worth it to save the 9 grand and get one with almost 8,000 more kilometers?

I'd say if he likes one just as much as the other, and if there's no damage or issues with either one of them. He
should save the 9 grand. In other words, if you have two different apples, they both look and taste good and
both will take care of that mid morning empty belly feeling, why pay more to end up with the same happy belly:)

Especially, if he is going to drive it a lot anyway the mileage difference does not matter. If one lead a very hard life would make a difference too, but there is no way to know that with either car, unless you personally knew the owners prior to the sale.

Make sure ALL recalls, TSB, RRT, software updates, flashes, etc, have been done to either car. Maybe if you post the VINs and ask nicely in the right threads ResumeSpeed and PLMCRZY can check the history or 1-of tree for the cars.

if your paying that much why not just pay full price new and get 5 miles and know your car hasnt been raced and was broken in properly??

how much is a new one in Canada?

also green may hold better resale in the future...i dont think its worth more, but it is very desirable and they sold quickly.....so in the future id expect a sublime to sell quicker than a red

What about Bright White, you think that would be more desirable than say a black?

From some of the posts that I've read on this site, November may never come ;) If he wants it now, now's
the time to get it. I agree with Huggy, if he can get a new one for 5k more and no BS from the dealer he really
should look at getting a new one. It'd be worth 5k to me to be the first guy to "fart on the new leather" :)

That would mean knowing the history of the car more than buying a used one and if there are any "lemon laws"
that may come into play, it could effect his recourse on FCA if that should ever come into play. In my home state
only the original owner of the car can file a claim under the "lemon law" and only in the first year of ownership.

    Just a thought.

This might be a dumb question, but what about buying one in the US and importing it to canada? He can get one TODAY in Detroit or in pretty much any of the northern states for MSRP.

I talked with them when i bought mine and they said they would do 1% below invoice on the blue one with the black hood. I went there but I couldn't stand the sepia interior with the blue and black hood. Plus it didn't have a sun roof.

That would be PP pricing. The EP is 5% plus fixed fees.
