Here's how it breaks down in Ontario. Remember this is K.P.H. so divide by 1.6 to get roughly miles per hour:

    0 – 15 km/hr over = 0 points (minor infraction)
    16 – 29km/hr over = 3 points (minor infraction)
    30 – 49 km/hr over = 4 points (major infraction)
    50+ km/hr over = 6 points + 30 day license suspension
50+km/hr over (Stunt Driving/Speed Racing) = 6 points + immediate 7 day license suspension and car impoundment + up to 2 year additional license suspension upon conviction.

The best part is if the province and state have an agreement in place these infractions can go against your license regardless of residence.

You'll find these signs up & around the 400 series highways.

Been here about seven years - zero tickets - you just need to be smart and know where and when to have a spirited driving sessions.

Been through Virginia quite a few times luckily all the cops had somebody pulled over already makes me really consider next time I need to go that direction and drive around the state now.

I got a ticket driving in that state because I had a radar detector. Didnt know they were illegal there and the trooper wouldn't budge. Ahole.
