Everything I see I want. Wrapped hoods, vinyl strips both are awesome looking and I have had a hard time deciding on what to do. One thing that I eventually realized is that it is the engine which is the focal point of this car. I also wanted it to be a little different. A little unique. So I finally made up my mind and went with this.

I'm definitely one of a kind now.

Really nice looking flames!!! I agree ...making your ride "yours" is something all are entitled to and respected accordingly. I am fan of your hood and look to cutomize my ride someday as well.

I like it ... a lot! (I had thoughts of doing something a lil similar, but I really wanted stripes and thought both would be too much.)

    Those are pretty cool.
How did you get it to stick to the mesh parts?
It's not covering or restricting air going into the hood scoop or blocking heat from going out of the heat vents is it?
Did you do this yourself or have a professional put them on?

Lastly, pic of your sign, want to see what it says. :)

That looks like it's airbrushed, not a decal.

    Thanks for the comments!
    Yes it is airbrushed.

Life Tip: Don't watch while someone takes a sander to your new, beautiful, and perfect hood!
    It will make you nauseated...

I took the car to a shop with a great rep. They removed the hood and sanded down the entire hood. Put it back on the car and then took it to a airbrush artist. I had previously explained what I wanted so he had the general concept but since I am no artist I left the artistic control in his hands. The inserts and hood got a good cleaning and an alcohol bath before starting to paint. The inserts also got coated with adhesion promoter. The flame outline was sprayed with the inserts in the hood and then they were removed and finished separately. House of Kolors candy paint. They were also cleared separately. Paint is relatively thin so I don't think there will be any issues with reduced airflow.

15 hours of work over 3 days and then I wrapped the hood in saran wrap, put it back on the car and drove to the body shop. 4 days later I got it back and the clear outshines the rest of the car. The clear made the flames a little more orange than intended but they still look professional and the in the dark just a little light makes them glow. I have plans to back light them with flickering red and yellow leds, we'll see where that goes...

Got it back Friday night and went to a car show Sat morning. Great response from the people.
Probably more pics of my car floating around now, than I've taken since I got it.
