Anyone know a trick for taking the hood liner off without busting those plastic looking stars??

There is no trick. They just dont come out without breaking them you MIGHT get lucky and still be able to re-use them but if not, rather than spend the $5 each for factory replacements, Autozone sells some that should work.

They are petty much one time use clips , you may get lucky if they are warm but pull them out when it's cold and you'll bust them all

NAPA has them, factory packs with like 10 in them, was like $8.99 or something like that, was well worth it. Just go buy the pack haha

The Christmas tree clips are cheap and come in bags of 10 or maybe 12 from dodge. Nothing wrong with having extra if you don't need them, they would need to be stored in a climate controlled area to prevent fatigue.

I was messing with my door panel and broke one of those black nylon push button fasteners/rivets. I found these guys on line and they seem to have everything you need at a reasonable price. I purchased a box of 25 for around 10 bucks. Anyone need 24 of them? :) I'm sure they have your hood liner clips too.
