Hood pins

    Anyone got hood pins on there Challenger HC? I have always loved the look and Mopar has them so I just wanted to know if anyone has them? Do you like them? and Was it a pain in the but to install?

    They look great, but remember that if you use cables, even sleeved cables, it will ruin your paint. I put pins on my old Mag SRT8 and used the sleeved cables, but after enough driving, they rubbed into the paint badly.

    Hellcat is most more prone to this happening I would think right?

    I don't know if a Challenger is more or less prone to it, here's how the cables laid on my old car: 58623_152847101414902_6213565_n.jpg


    There wasn't a lot of slack in them due to how far back the frame was (where you have to install the posts), the cables were stretched out pretty far, so we thought it would be ok because they'd have less of a chance of flapping around. We were wrong.

    After a few months of driving we noticed the rubbing on the front by the grille and the side where the cable rested. Wind from driving would flop the cables around and rub against the paint.
