Anyone here ever raise the hood with the wipers bent up?

I did while detailing and ended up losing paint on the edge of the hood.

Please don't be as careless as me :)

The dealer did this to my 2006 300C SRT8 before I bought it. It had been sitting in the back of the lot for months, and the battery was dead. They raised the hood to charge the battery and didn't lower the wiper arms first. I didn't realize what the missing paint was from until weeks after I bought it. It was a brilliant black car, and I saw those two 1" sections of bare aluminum on the inside lip of the hood for the rest of the time I owned that car. I don't know why I never put some touch-up paint on the spots, because it drove me crazy. Don't be lazy like me. Put some paint on those spots now! :)

Hopefully you'll only do it once.. did it on my 2013 Daytona Charger. Luckily it had vinyl on the hood scallops so it just messed that up a little. Wasn't noticeable for the most part. Would die if I did it to this car!

    Happens,

once I dropped ( just a little bit hard) a wiper on a windshield, it cracked, I had to have the shield replaced.

The good thing about that damage area is its an edge, so you can touch it up with several light coats of touch up paint. You will never see the repair. I am not going to say how I know that.

Once you do that it never happens again. At least it happened on a different Challenger before my Hellcat. Mine was black too that I scratched. That spot location and the color black makes it pretty easy for it to disappear once fixed. I actually drop filled it and then sanded it smooth with 2000 grit sand paper, but that was overkill.
