How do we verify a dealer really has allocations?

In my neverending search for a Hellcat Challenger, I've talked to numerous dealers that all claim to have allocations, and can't put the order in until a deposit is accepted.

Just this morning I called a local dealer manager, who said yes they do, and they could put an order in with a deposit and they have allocations.

Now, before I do that, how can I verify that, besides taking his word for it?
I know all the rumors and info from this site as seems they are only getting one per dealer, but to verify on our own, what do we need to do? Call SRT or Dodge?

Dodge and SRT aren't not going to provide you with this info.

Ask the dealer and hope they're honest.

As far as I know there is no way to confirm it. With that said a lot of people have suggested to make sure you can get your deposit back if the order doesn't progress within a certain amount of time. If they really have an allocation it shouldn't be a problem.

I do not know if that is true or correct or if it has been implemented.

Agate is correct. The ONLY way to know if a dealership has an allocation is to be persistent and talk with the GM, sales manager. or owner. You need to be very clear about what you clarify to them....For instance - what you consider a line ahead of you is "how many VON's are in the system ahead of you." If the answer is 2 to 5, you might consider ordering from that dealer. If not, may want to move on. Also, NO DEALER knows if they have allocations right now. Dealers will NOT know if they're getting an allocation until the next allocation cycle, which is, I believe, the week of March 9th.

The other issue with the allocation system is if the dealer has a car on D1 status, they will not get an allocation. It happened to me this month, the guy in front of me (lucky bastard) got the January allocation, but because the car is not off the books from my dealership, they did not get an allocation for February.

Thank you for that answer, that was my question, I just wanted to know if it was possible to verify somewhere, instead of relying on salesman pitch.

Ask to see there chart in dealer connect. It says in there. I don't see one a month per dealer. That like 2500 a month not going to happen
