I can't figure out how to move auto shift lever out of park without starting the engine. Tried Accessory and foot on brake, tried run with no brake. So what am I missing. Don't want to have to start the engine every time I move the car a little, or how do you push it in staging lanes.

It's in the owners manual. Leave it in park remove the coin / cubby holder to the right of the shift lever that lifts out. You'll see a red nylon loop under it. Use that but read in the owners manual how to engage and disengage it's not intuitive. It might be under towing or roadside maintenance can't recall...

Thanks! When everything else fails, read the instructions. I'll read the manual. Hope it is simple to do, keeping car cool before a run will be important.
I'm already pissed the performance pages need to be rebooted every time you start the car. You need to see all your info as soon as the car starts. Hope they correct his on later models.

Well didn't think of that! If I have it on my lift or in garage and need to nudge it someplace I don't want to start it everytime. All that does is put moisture in the engine and exhaust if you don't let it run for 10 Mins. Biggest reason is to push it in the staging lanes next summer. You want everything as cool as possible before a run and starting it every time the line moves defeats that.

The car won't let you shut it off in neutral.. I was at the car wash, and wanted to turn it off in neutral, and it would not work, also would not let me put it in neutral while not running....mind you I have only tried this once,, just to clean the wheels

Then I assume it won't let you shut it off in Drive or Reverse as it would roll?

    From sales brochure

    Page 21 The
    new electronic shifter with AutoStick
mimics the operation of a traditional
linkage shifter, while allowing for smoother
    and more efficient shifting

This may be why but my car ain't built yet so I can't look at it.
