Is there an easy answer? How long does it normally take from the build date that SRT gives to the day that the car is in your driveway? I know that 2016 is a new year and we don't really have a definitive answer yet but based on last year's experience what do you think? I have a build date of November 16th. Thanks for your help.

I hope this is not the average but I have been waiting since 8/25 the day it was actually built and as far as I know it is not actually shipped yet.

For the US - 2 weeks is the number I've seen thrown around over and over again. Sometimes less.

My build date was 13 November 2014. It shipped and was received by the dealer on 24 November (which happens to be my birthday). Clearly not every shipment is the same. Mine was delivered in Orlando, Florida, about as far away from the assembly in Brampton as you can get, geographically/lower 48. So that may be a decent barometer for you.

If it takes under 30 days to get a car built why is there such a backlog?

Mine was built 8/25 and now the dealer ETA is 10/22-10/28.

When did you put your deposit down with your dealer?

Mine was ordered/deposit on 2/12/15...built on 5/25 and delivered on 6/16. That was for MY2015, but it looks like the order/allocation and build process has or is changing for 2016's.;)

I don't know if we have a definitive answer yet. FCA has certainly changed the ordering/allocation process from last year...I think in order to streamline things. I would guess that once you have a VON for a 2016, things should go quicker. I think we will know a lot more in the next 4-6 weeks...ie; if these changes from 2015 have had an effect on the horrible backlogs experienced by many of us last year...MY2015. Keep us updated.

My Hellcat was built May 5th. It arrived at the dealership on May 28th. But it sat at the rail yard for 6 days
