Just wondering how many have installed the new 300M Chrome Moly axles (1/2 shafts) in the Hellcats yet from the Drive shaft shop?

At what point are the half shafts needed? I did install the DSS aluminum drive shaft.

Good question. I've thought about doing a "9 inch" compete rear end swap out when they are up and ready or sticking in a 3.09 gear with the half shafts. I don't know which would be better and why one may be better over the other one.

    Any ideas or suggestions?

The 9" conversion will be darn near bullet proof... but I'm thinking it's probably going to retail for 7k... You can buy quite a few stock diffs and axles for that. Also, keep in mind, it's going to take more power to turn that Ford 9 " .....

I did the same swap in my 2010 Camaro SS. Stock to 9" conversion cost me 32 rwhp on the same dyno.

I knew that a 9 inch conversion would likely cause some loss of power at the tires but that is about twice what I'd have guessed! Good info. My car will see little if any track time and never see slicks, Drag Radials perhaps but not slicks. I don't know if the 9 inch conversion would really be necessary for me other than as an "insurance policy" or for peace of mind. I know that Top Cat broke a factory style rear end, does anyone else
know of an instance of a rear end breaking?

I thought I seen a package with the (9) axles and shaft for around $5,600.

I bought a set of the new 300M chrome Moly half shafts from Frank at the( Driveshaft shop) along with the aluminum driveshaft and a new 3.09 rear end from Dodge and install them all at the same time along with a new set of Mickey Thompsons I also bought a set of Billet trailing arms from speed logic and install them also while we had the rear end out I figured I would get rid of the weak links first, and then turn my attention towards the motor, tested everything out this weekend everything's working really good real happy with the axles and the new rear end absolutely no Wheel Hop whatsoever so far so good.
