Looking at a 2015 SRT 392 thats been sitting on the lot for a while. I might want to trade in my 2010 RT's for it (I have 2). Sticker on the car is $51,000. How much do you think I can talk em down to?

Dealers make good money reselling trades, so he should be willing to talk. But SRT 392s are not exactly plentiful so he wont be motivated to do much. Maybe $2k below MSRP? You might also be eligible for a customer loyalty incentive.

What's the sticker on the car?
All the 2015s 392 powered cars are trickling in and it's 2016 time frame.
Also they seem to have a ton of 15s on the lot in general.

Bring in a wad of cash...an amount you are willing to pay...anything over that coupled with a dealer's inflexibility...you walk...IMHO.

I bought a new SRT 392 a couple of month ago. It was a manual tran car with every other available option. It was exactly what I wanted, ie. color, interior, options, etc. I worked really hard to finally get $1000 off. There were very few cars exactly like this available, so my negotiating leverage was limited. If you are flexible on colors and options you can get a better deal because there will be more cars to leverage as alternatives. If you are dead set on a certain color, transmission, option configuration, etc, then the dealer takes the negotiating advantage.

I always check out TrueCar | Never overpay. Hassle-free car buying from TrueCar Certified Dealers. I don't actually use the service but I just check and see what others have paid and Truer suggest what a fair price and a GREAT price is. I have no idea if it is accurate or not but I find can be GREAT negating tool and puts you in the drivers seat!

I pulled it up in the Honda dealership on my phone when helping mom buy a car and I held my phone up to the salesman after he gave me a much higher price. I then suggested that we need to start our negations at what truer says the price should be.

Last few cars this info helped me... I strongly suggest having it on your phone and just show it to the sales manager after he gives you his 1st best price.
I did a quick check in my area for a 392 and a first glance it looks like at least $2k to as much as $3,500 off MSRP but check your zip and options you want.

Trucar is definitely helpful. Window Sticker on my 15 was $53,319 MSRP with dealer installed accessories and tint. Dealer made an offer of invoice, $49,864 + $699 for accessories for a total of $50,564. Good negotiating Aarcuda.
