We need a sticky thread of dealers (with specific mechanic name) who are worthy of working on our cars. Just because a dealer sells at msrp doesn't mean their mechanics are worthy of working on our cars.

I'm currently looking for the dealer (actual mechanics) I'm going to let service my car. I feel like I'm interviewing babysitters for my children. We need a resource.

any dealer that lets me physically sit infront of my car while they work at it has my business. Once i trust the mechanics enough i'd consider leaving it there or waiting in the room. You want my money, earn my trust. When a dealer told me i couldnt wait or watch i pulled my car and went else where. It's why im no big fan of dealers.

My local shop i use for my charger SRT, I trust them enough after enough work on my challenger SRT and my families non mopar cars that i can drop the keys go home and do whatever. But originally they had no objections to me sitting in the bay or chatting with them while they worked on my car. I still do it occasionally if im waiting for a quick oil change, tire/balance or etc.

I get offended when some one calls me a mechanic.
I am a technician. I diagnosis problems and repair. Not just a parts replacer.

    That's it carry on

People like me not in your field aren't aware of the terminology. People call me a business owner, yet I'm an entrepreneur. It happens...
