Put it in ECO mode!!! LOL

A few days ago, for the first time, I tried ECO mode in my 5 week old 2016 Cat....no accelerator response, It upshifts way to early. I felt more connected to the road in my mother in law's 2003 Cadillac Deville!!!

I don't think I'll ever use ECO mode again...

    It was scary...I tell ya...Scary..

Really? Eco for me isnt bad at all. Still breaks the tires lose. Still had a loud whine and i think the exhaust actually sounds lower and louder. Now valet mode....thats dangerously slow and unresponsive

Other than MAYBE a little gain in fuel economy are there any other benefits from ECO mode for casual driving?

Are the shifts softer on the A8 --- another words is it better for the transmission?

    Thank you !

Good for long distance road trips at speed. Got 28.5 MPG in Eco on I-10 on a 60 mile mellow cruise.:p:p

I get better gas mileage in our Hellcat than I do in my Trundra.
But I do get the best gas mileage on my
Harley LOL and it is almost as much fun to drive, well almost.

Lmfao at all this! I've yet to understand why there is even a red and black key? Like I'm gonna let my friend or wife borrow my P-cat even at 500hp lol.. Go buy your own! (Not my wife cause that means I would be buying two ;) ) and if I had my choice valet mode would be even more restrictive..who can't burn out in a 300hp car? Should limit it to a 2 cylinder! Lol

The V6 is 300HP. So valet mode is basically shutting down the SC and 2 cylinders.

I would like to see someone burn the tires in Valet mode. Seriously ya'll obviously have not put it in yet. I promise a corolla would whoop this cars ass while in Valet. I had to drop mine off at upholstry shop and that made me feel so much better because I dropped it off on day 2. Eco mode is awsome as well. I drive in Houston traffic alot every once an awhile I take my challenger now a hellcat. Sitting in traffic or driving in dense traffic the lack of accelerator response is great. And a quick double tap of the srt button and I have all the power I want trans and traction in track. Dodge engineers outdid themselves on this car and being able to manipulate the power output is awsome.

I used eco for a long trip on the Interstate with the cruise set at 74 and averaged 23.5 MPG... next trip on 2 lane state roads keeping the speed below 60 and got 25 MPG! I agree the EPA owes us all a refund! But I'm not holding my breath!
