    Hello, all,

I'm hoping someone can share their knowledge with me. I'm no mechanic and this issue is well over my head. Any expert advice is appreciated.

Last week, I noticed a ticking sound from the right front wheel area. It was particularly noticeable during the tight radius turning required for parking.

I took it into the dealer for service and they "replaced the bearing."

When I picked up the car, the sound was gone.

    Two days later, it's back.

I'm suspicious. If their diagnosis was correct and they did, indeed, replace the bearing, then that means the new bearing has also failed. That seems odd to me.

I'm taking it back in next week and I'd like to be armed with as much information as possible.

Any thoughts? Advice? Anyone with a similar experience?

    Thanks in advance,

    David

Caron had a similar issue, rotor clicks only in reverse when they are cold could be the same thing, wheel bearings usually vibrate or make noise when at a higher speed

    Thank you, purnrg.

It's definitely not the cold. I'm in warm weather and I hear the click even after spirited driving. Hmmmm...

Low speed only? Are you sure nothing is in the tire?If you lightly apply brakes and gas to maintain same speed is the noise still there?

Others, myself included have mentioned this. Turning to the right, hard, at slow speeds is a clicking. Turning to the left does not yield a sound. I've yet to take mine in for it. I contacted SRT in case they knew of anything but they played the safe card and only said to take it in to a mechanic

Wonder if muffler bearings are causing the issue.

I noticed the same in my Charger Hellcat today, too.

Clicked on this thread because my Charger is doing this, too! The clicking is coming from the left front wheel when backing up with the steering wheel cranked hard right. I believe I also heard it when turning right out of the parking lot. My first thought was something stuck in the tire, but I didn't notice anything after checking. I need to double check the tire tomorrow. I'll post back with my findings.

I heard the same thing before i parked my car and came back here to Afghan. Was wondering what it is as well. I to checked tires etc. Figure it has something to do with the 2-piece rotors or liner or something. Will have to look into it when i get back

Is this just a noise concern, or is there a vibration/harshness concern as well?
Does it only happen in reverse?

At least with mine, i didn't have a vibration, just the clicking at low speed when tuning to the right.

I have vibration begin at 75mph, as well as others have experienced in other threads, too. Perhaps they are related?

I noticed the noise driving forward.
