I miss my HUD from the vette. I think a nicely done HUD would have been a big plus in the Hellcat!! Just an observation.;)

GM has Heads Up Display simply because Hughes Aircraft (where I worked in the 80's/90's) got bought by GM and we gave GM that technology. Chrysler never had an in......

Ahh okay, I wasn't aware of that. I do like having the mph, tach, and a shift light put right up on the windshield though. Guess I got spoiled.

At night the cops can see your speed too. Tremendous. Like they need another reason to stop us.

I had it on my ZL1. You could also view the nav/radio function. Nice feature. I wonder if there are after market options. The lens would be really expensive I suspect.

There are aftermarket boxes that you can put on your dashboard that project a HUD but from what I hear they are kind of lame. I thin the windshiled needs a special laminate as well for it to look really clear and bright.

You have to be at pretty much the exact correct angle to see the display, if your line of sight is off just a little up down or left/right you cant read the display worth a damn. Besides "instant on/return" radar systems are pretty much the norm so reading someones HUD isn't really an issue. LoL

Damn, and I thought the OP was referring to the Department of Housing and Urban Development or maybe the 1963 Western with Paul Newman called Hud.
