I couldn't defeat my traction control/stability control on a dyno today. There was a crowd. 2 other 'Cat owners were there. I was really embarrassed. My rear rotor's were blue from heat. Hellcats just grab attention, and a crowd gathered. The 3 of us know what to do - and it didn't work. They did high 600's. I did a 390 and had blue rotors for my effort. It's Tam's car and I wanted to see how it measured up against other HC's.

How do I defeat this nonsense ? 2 weeks ago, Tammy was raping everyone on a road course.

    What can I do.

Did you pull the fuse that modulates traction control?

Find another dyno shop. Someone should have done some research BEFORE they ruined your rear rotors.

This was a helpful response. Either indicates that you have no idea how to correct the problem OR you know and want to keep it to yourself.
Either way rates right up there on the A..hole scale. WTG!

When i done mine they pulled no fuses just ran it up through the gears slow twice i believe until the computer give up. Slowly up a few gears then back to a stop. He said that make the computer think you are on snow. Same as all the other Dodge cars. Mine was his first HC.

Push and hold the T/C button AFTER you make the Sport Mode choice UNTIL IT CHIMES AND you see a message it is off on the dash. That is it, easy and no fuses are required to be pulled.

Please make sure your gear selection is 1:1. That is 6th on an A8. Someone else will have to post the manual gear that loads the 1:1 ratio.

Exactly the procedure used for two of the three cats that went on the dyno. We simply could not get Rick's cat to shutdown completely.

Can I ask a dumb question? Did Ric's cat chime and present the dash message when the procedure was followed? I'm asking did it tell you TC was off but it really wasn't?

Have to ask Ric he was in the car. The last attempt in the SRT page it showed Traction as off... but then when he got ready to pull it reverted to traction back on.
At that point we gave up.

Alright. I just couldn't understand why someone would try a pull without the car indicating that TC was off.
