2014-11-30 18.34.31.jpg The passenger side sun visor mirror is broken. Since I'm not driving the car due to salted roads, I removed it myself and I'm going to take it back to the dealer tomorrow and ask them to order me a replacement. I had to pull down the corner of the headliner to remove it. It would have been easier if BOTH sides of the electrical connector were not hot glued to the headliner.o_O

I guess I can understand that being missed..... I think I've only had the visor vanity mirrors down a few times - to clean them. I tend to forget they're even there.
    Good you found it now.

    Typical Subpar/Mopar build quality.

Hopefully they can order it and you receive it asap. I only say this because I have a friend who has a late model 392 Challenger who was needed a passenger side fender due to an accident and had to wait 5 months because their excuse was they only had fenders for the new builds coming off the line. Many automotive body shops could not get the parts right away.Stay on them.

I'm in Florida so if mine would ever come in and I had that problem I would just drive it and have them order one.
I can't getting delivery in the snow.

I think you're taking a chance any time you modify or remove anything on the vehicle when it's under warranty. Personally, I'm going to have the dealer do any necessary work to mine when I get it. I'm paying almost $65k for a car, I want it to be perfect and anything that isn't, it will be replaced at their cost and their labor.

That sucks!! I wonder how the heck that would even crack like that. That's the first time I have ever seen this. Hopefully they can get you a replacement fast and don't give you an issue for removing it yourself.

Update: I stopped in at the dealer today. They had to order a replacement visor for me and it's supposed to be in by Thursday. They made a comment about how they are not supposed to give out warranty replacement parts to the customers to install on their own but they were willing to bend the rules for me.

You are lucky they did that for you. Most of the time the dealers have to remove the part and inspect it. Sometimes then even have to take pics to document it. Good luck and hope that part comes in fast.

I suspect it was shear G force that cracked that mirror... Haven't seen anyone that ugly in a while, but then again, I'm getting older & starting to use cheaters to see up close...

The glass contains a silver backing and when the car approachs the speed of sound, the sonic boom can and will break the glass via the harmonics effecting the silver....you should see what happens when you achieve warp speed :)
