Can members tell when I put them on ignore or do I need to specifically let them know I've "ignored" them?

(Just as a courtesy to them)

When you ignore people I shows " ignored member" and doesn't show Content. It kind of clouds the image and so on. I dont think they can contact you in pm if there are ignored Sorry if it is me bull, I enjoy your witty posts and you sound like you know what your talking abt

Personally I've never seen the need for an "ignore" function.

There's nothing forcing you to read anything anyone posts so you can ignore it on your own.

Like "Oh look, there's a post by 'FLEX' in my thread. He's a meathead. Not reading that." and just move on to something you think you might enjoy reading.....

    ...just like in real life....

In the world I can walk away from annoying people, here it's a distraction from what would otherwise be an enjoyable experience.

I normally do what you've expressed, but in some rare cases it's just too much...

To each his own I suspect, right?

Why not just cover your ears and scream "nah nah nah nah!" so nothing bothers you?

Using the ignore button? It's just like the "I'm thin-skinned, not too bright and and very weak button."

I mean, you can't just move on when you don't like a post? You seriously "need" to censor people in a open forum? Wow.

I never used the feature... but there are a few I'd be better off ignoring. ;)

I have been around the Mopar forums for over 10 years and never used the ignore button until just a couple weeks ago...I wont say who but lets just say his name is Botroll....At first I found it enjoyable to post remarks to his posts but then realized I was hijacking other's threads...since putting him on ignore the forums seems so much more informative and friendly....the ignore button is like a long handle scratchier that will reach that hard to get to place..
