So I signed up for The Colorado Mile being held Labor Day weekend September 4-6

I'll be there Sat & Sun.

    Anyone else here going?

I'll be running the stock all season Pirelli PZero's

    Any tips, recommendations?

    Tire pressure?

91 Oct. or race gas? They'll have race gas there.

At that altitude, I believe you have plenty of octane though "race fuel" tends to have more energy in it. Hard to say.

And those stock all seasons will kill you on your launch, but if you are dedicated you will need to practice perfecting your 2nd gear (A8) starts and then I recommend letting the A8 shift itself.

They say lowering air in the stock tires is good for launch when dragging-but remember you will be traveling a lot further than a 1/4 mile and 125+/- trap speeds-for the next 3/4 of a mile, you will be way above that. I would keep factory pressures and remember if you are coming from low altitude to high altitude/differing temps your psi per tire may change.

For mechanical empathy purposes, I would also change the oil and rear diff fluids, especially if you are going to make multiple runs. YMMV.

FWIW, I would be surprised at that altitude if you cracked 170mph with an A8.

Oh, and get a GoPro so we can enjoy :D

That is outstanding considering the altitude! What were the temps, humidity, etc? Did you do any aero mods?
