For the last few weeks, my Charger has been feeling a bit off. If I'm in manual mode and wait too long to shift (like 4000rpm) I get a feeling like my tires are rubbing. Which I know isn't happening, but that's almost what it feels like. I honestly can't think of what could be causing this. Has anyone else had something similar happen? It's a strange sensation that happens under the car, but as the driver I can feel it. It's very strange. Am I crazy? lol

Caren first off yes you are crazy but that's okay I am too, second it's your car and you know how it feels, third did you change anything i.e. different fuel, oil change, cooler or warmer weather and last but not least are you using the Black Fob????

You're so funny, lol. First, no, I have never used the black key. Ever. No changes that I know of, except tsc did drive it twice last week, but I can't even blame him because it was happening before that.

The A8's are adaptive transmissions, if you were driving in a less spirited manner or your gramps took it out just maybe???

I'm pretty spirited in my short drive to and from work. And he's worse than me. No one else has ever driven my car... I don't think it's the trans.

If it is something the computer has learned, you can disconnect your car battery for about 5 min and it will set back or reboot sorta speak. This works for a lot of issues within these computer driven cars.

Do you really think it's computer driven though? I'm not sure that would change anything.

The computer controls the shifting points and times. It's a very easy try and could take care of it. Hard to say because I really don't understand what you are saying the issue is. Beats having to take it into the shop.

I had that on my SRT with the rear tubs (they are plastic) sometimes rubbing. I could only hear it while going slow and only did it occasionally while the car was turning. They won't slow you down though, just make a weird noise.

    I do a bad Curry

Do you not have normal acceleration? Can you hear the supercharger when this happens and does boost psi drop abnormally? Maybe sprag clutch is worn already

I saw VP's chunk of inner fender liner, funny big chunk of plastic, I think he posted a pic of it on his lowering kit thread
