Installation Video DSS drive shaft

    It's very straight forward. Take out old bolts, drop drive shaft. Put in drive shaft put bolts in tighten. Enjoy

    Did u remove exhaust?? If undid what points did u disconnect?? Thanks

    I just dropped back 2 exhaust hangers (on each side) and disconnected the 2 sensors for the cutout valves. Then just support the exhaust with a bungee in the rear. That should give you enough room if on a lift.

    So is this something I would want to do in a garage on jack stands or just have a shop do it.

    old guy: what about the drive shaft being in-phase. I know when removing drive shafts from other cars we had to mark the pieces that bolted together and make sure the diff piece did not rotate or the shaft would be out of phase and vibrate. Are the flanges such as they can only be mounted one way?

    There are alignment marks at both ends of the driveshaft. Keep these lined up during the install.

    Since I was helping the mechanic with the install, we found the best option was to remove the whole exhaust system in one piece by feeding it out the back end of the car. You need two people to do it. 14396.jpeg
    As you can see, my exhaust valves are gone thanks to timmbo's valve delete kit.:D
