iPhone issue with UConnect?

    Just spoke to my local dealer to find out if they have a trustworthy tech to handle my car. They do, SRT Trained and certified. I feel confident there. Spoke to the manager for about 2 minutes.

    Anyway, he told me to expect a problem if I use an iPhone....that all or most of the uconnect systems are having a known issue win all iPhones. And any sprint phone. Specifically, Bluetooth not transferring calls to the car and/or not pairing and staying.

    I haven't heard anything even remotely here yet. Anyone have issues???

    He says they're awarw and expect a fix Q2-Q3.

    Nope. My iphone 5S works fine. Only can read received texts through U Connect, not able to send texts, the phone parts works fine. Bluetooth streaming music works fine. I'm at the latest available U Connect version.

    I have a iPhone 6 and the phone and media works great. Better than my sync on my F150. Haven't even tried to text through the Uconnect yet

    We've had issues with my wife's MY13 Durango R/T - every now and then it won't connect. On rare occasion, it'll freeze completely when you try to connect and you can't even switch back to AM/FM or satellite radio; we have to turn the engine off for about 5 minutes and then the AM/FM and satellite work upon restart. This is usually after Apple has a whole number iOS update and then it works fine after there is a Uconnect update. It's happened with her previous iPhone 5S and newer 6.

    We've not had an issue once with the Uconnect on my MY14 Ram 3500, so I figured it wasn't an issue on the newer 8.4AN systems.

    Sounds like that's probably the case since no HC owners here have had problems.

    The only issues I have with my Android is being unable to remote start or unlock/lock. Everything "times" out and fails. I haven't dug much into it, yet. The phone pairs 9/10 times. Streams music via Bluetooth nicely.

    My wife and I both have issues with our iPhone 6 in our jeep,power wagon,longhorn and srt cars but never with the I phone 5.just every since we got our 6. Dealer told us the same thing. new uconnect doesn't like the iPhone 6 lol. I'm sure a patch sometime will fix it

    I had an issue with my iPhone 6, then finally realized that in order to sink it correctly the car has to either be running or the ignition needs to be in the full run position. Once I did that its been working fine

    Mine just randomly disconnects when ever it feels like lol

    OP needs to try someone else's iPhone to rule out his. This should be done with any phone issue as it's usually not the car!!!

    B5, It didn't happen "yet". I don't even have my car "yet". Local dealer told me to expect it since he's seeing it in many cars. Just wondering if it was a real issue since I hadn't heard anything like that on here before.

    OK that's good AND what I said is true. I've dealt with too many phone issues that over 95% were some setting in the phone, some app corrupting phone and contacts loaded with special characters to name a few. Easiest way is try someone else's same brand phone.
