Do the 2016 Challenger Hellcats allow an Android phone similar functionality to the iPhones? My Android phone is due for an upgrade but I never liked the iPhone. Wondered if I should get an iPhone to take advantage of the capabilities in the 2016 Hellcats. Place my order on August 27. Have VIN but car still in D status, waiting on Brass Monkey wheels.

Thank you. Good to know. Guess I need to consider iPhone.

Siri Eyes Free: Via the voice button on the steering wheel and compatible with an Apple iPhone 4s or later, drivers can speak natural language voice commands to send text messages, play music, set reminders, place phone calls and access turn-by-turn directions.

Cars are for driving. They are not a phone booth.

I've got a droid. Have had it for 7 years. Great functions. Long battery life. Local service is easy. Free phone every 3 years. Don't want it hooked up to my car to distract me from that sweet exhaust sound and super charger whine!

I guess the smart thing for me to do is to get the cat, try it out and see if I want to suffer through a transition to iPhone or accept the limitations of the Android phone.

I'm like you in that I prefer Android (5.1.1 latest M build for my device) over iPhone (iOS 9). My personal phone is a Nexus 6 (from Google Playstore), business phone is an iPhone 6. I can't stand the iPhone at any level.

I've used both in the Hellcat and there is no big benefit to either one. There are apps for both and you can pretty much do whatever you need to do with either one while connected to the car. There is no apple or Android auto specific function.

Stick with what you like. Have to take Android from my cold dead hand LOL

Someone has the right thought! Get in it and drive!

I'm tired of spending my time driving for me and all the bozo's around me that are in their mobile phone booths playing in traffic!

I don't want my Hellcat crunched by the distracted driver on their phone. Too many close calls already!

There are big changes for the 2016 Uconnect and how it works with the iPhone.

When your car is your office and work never stop you don't have much choice.

I wasn't aware of that. In my case it wouldn't influence me to switch from Android but that's just me/my preference.
