    Hey guys.
I am thinkg about buying a challenger hellcat but not sure whether it fits my needs or not . I like the car 707 hp sounds awesome to have. My daily commute to work gonna be 120 miles round trip 60 going and 60 back. Mainly highway at 85 speed limit. + some erands here and there.

it is a terrible choice, go with a Toyota Prius. The car was not meant for that.

Come on now; the Prius is an urban car. It is far from an ideal highway commuter.

Get the Hellcat if you want and get a secondary commuter car. It's only money.

I traded in a 2012 Yukon for the Cat (love every minute I'm in it) but decided to get a daily driver to keep miles off of her (plus she's no good at towing the boat).

Quite honestly, I was getting used to the power and now it's a treat to drive the Hellcat 2 or 3 days a week.

If your going to put a lot of miles on it, I would suggest getting the total care warranty along with the Cat. Cause the factory warranty will be up in no time with that commute.

I actually have an 08 chevy avalanche which has 146 k miles now. It still runs like a charm. But that millage worries me thats why i am thinking of buying another car. other choices besides the hellcat might be the mbenz sl 500 or the lexus rc f. The new car will be a daily drive one

I am probably more financially conservative than most and personally would not use the HC as a long commuter vehicle. $70K+ for a cat, plus the premium fuel (today I filled up at 4.32/gl here in SoCal) and the long term cost per mile would be too excessive for me. If you are planning on an M6 and drive on congested freeways...like here in SoCal, your left leg will be protesting very soon. Ok...I need to go hide before the pitchforks and torches show up at my door:eek:

    Brother,

you cannot compare the cars, I had a S600, the the hellcat does everything better (well the interior was better in the S600). If you think the sl500 is better than buy it. I do think you are being a knob. It is your check book but have you driven a hellcat? Obviously not. Crazy thread, either your are trollin or have not driven a hellcat. My wife as a 2014 bi turbo Audi S6 which is awesome with awd, however, my challenger is a Beast, and gets better gas mileage is not driving like a knob. I am knob so gas mileage is generally less.

My drive is similar; more than 2 hours a day in a car should not be miserable; life is too short. When I find myself getting morose sitting in the car, I goose it for a bit and the grin lasts for quite a while. I have a Charger A8 so traffic and errands on the route work out well for me also. Every minute in this car is just knob-alicious!

I'm in traffic every day, in the morning traffic flows at 80 MPH and I use sport mode, but in the bumper to bumper traffic I use Eco mode. Overall I get 17 MPG avg.

I'd get a 392 scat pak. Order a shaker if u want a car with more cool.factor. or get a regular charger if u want a 4 Dr for errands.

You'll have the car quicker and avoid a lot if drama associated with buying/ordering a Cat
