Haven't heard anything about that, or that the Hellcat engine is confirmed for the Jeep?
That would be a monster SUV if so.

Already told the wife she is getting one. Told pops to get ready and order if it is true.

I haven't seen anything official, just "according to sources" which is pretty much the same narrative we've been hearing.

And if the Jeep Trackhawk does NOT get the Hellcat engine, I'd assume it would be appropriate to delete this subforum section, since this is a Hellcat forum.

I'd have my reservations that FCA would put that much power in an AWD SUV, and then having to warranty the AWD system and drivetrain from brutal 700+ hp launches (unless of course they do what some other manufacturers have done and limit the rpms in 1st and 2nd gear so you can't launch it above a set rpms).

I'd also question whether they'd want that much power in a vehicle that tall. BMW and Porsche have their turbo SUV's that make close to 600 hp I believe, but the Hellcat engine would still be another 120+ over what they have. And Jeep isn't exactly BMW's M division or Porsche when it comes to developing and engineering vehicles to handle and brake like if they were sports cars.
I know the current SRT Jeep handles pretty well, but again, it's no M BMW or Porsche in that regards either I'm sure.
Maybe just need aggressive stability control to save people from their own indiscretions.

IF they decide to roll out the Hawk, I assume the body style would be different and muck more of a crossover with a lower center of gravity...

I don't see why they would change a good thing just for an engine. I don't know what future plans for the Grand are, but hopefully it's not some crossover. The current Grand is sweet.

I'd like to see a Hellcat Jeep...

Interested to see if they can beef up the drivetrain, transfer case, etc to handle the power.

I don't want to see what the MSRP will be. Probably $90k+ fully loaded.

What happened to "every Jeep is Trail Rated?":D

I don't know, if it's RWD they should just not make it. Part of the Jeep SRT IS the AWD.

The Rambo Lambo! Lamborghini is considering producing a SUV, powered by a twin turbo V8. I am sure it will be close to $150,000.

There's something about a Lambo, Porsche, or Bentley SUV that just makes a person shake their head....

Yes, I realize Lambo already did an SUV, and it's one of the ugliest things to ever be on wheels.

The Lamborghini LM002 was so ugly it was cool and the only V12 SUV I know about.

Personally, after further thought I don't think the Hellcat engine should be put into the Jeep Trackhawk.
I think it will dilute the Hellcat mystique too much. Further, the SRT8 Grand Cherokee already has a very narrow customer base, I just don't see too many SUV customers who will want an even faster SUV. Sure there will be some, but enough to justify the time and cost of putting the Hellcat engine in there, beefing up the AWD system, etc etc?

I'd think it would be more sound to just keep the 6.4 liter in there. Lighten the thing up a bit, add slightly larger brakes, more cooling, etc. Make it "track" ready for the 18 people who will take it to a track (with curves).

Jeep SRT has a larger customer base than does Charger SRT, Challenger SRT, and 300 SRT though. It's the best selling SRT model ever. And before Hellcat, it was the most expensive SRT model. Buyers are willing to pay for it, there will be buyers for a 707hp model as well.
