I posted a short while back that I had started to notice what sounded like a noisy pulley bearing when idling in traffic. We did a little investigating and we guessed it could possibly be a noisy bearing in the snout of the Supercharger. My good friend and mechanic Brian went off to SEMA and with other commitments yesterday was his first chance to come around and carry out some further investigation.
So after dropping belts off we were convinced it had to be within the Supercharger. We noted that the snout pulley has some end float as well as vertical movement. Not much but some. Unfortunately we saw these witness marks on the Supercharger Screws.
My guess is that this is not normal and I have a big problem. Can any one confirm my fears and suggest a reliable company that I could send my unit to and have it repaired. As I am UK based I have no Dodge warranty so I am on my own.
Your help is very much appreciated

I would still think you could call SRT and have it shipped back to them. Pretty sure they want to know when these units fail.

I have sent an email to both Tim and Jeff Dickson asking if they will send me a new Supercharger Unit.
If you don't ask you don't get.

I will give it a try but I reckon they will just say speak to Dodge

From your video,in my opinion it seems like something has eaten away at the coating, either from 1) not running an air cleaner (in test cell)2) some foreign objects dirt or sand in the intake tract, either from factory Or left there,so when you operated it
While driving. 3) coating wasn't applied properly or surface of screws were not prepped of contaminents before coating was applied.4) binding of screws due to Foreign objects. 5) lntake duct leaking at clamps or air filter base seal.
As far as snout bearings, you will have to check the runout and smoothness of this,as well as the feel comparitive to another known good unit!
How the damage was done is a mystery, hard to prove one way or another.
Was the Car PDI on Import?
I know you brought it to europe, but did someone phsically check the vehicle before export,if you can prove this was done and have any documents related to that, you will have to gather your ammo,or just find the right technician to troubleshoot, order the correct pieces, get the overhaul manual and dodge repair manual, and just repair
The unit. This way you know what you have got!
By the time you mess around with warranty/Shipping/frustration and the like,
The time spent may not be worth your aggrivation...
How many miles do you have,it doesn't look that terrible, this may be normal wear,
Consult an expert on these IHI units!

I've never run the Cat without an air cleaner. 3800 miles. When my mate collected the Cat from the dealer it had 1 mile on the clock. Gary is an experienced guy. Put about 185 miles on the car. He is in New Hampshire and January / February the weather was heavy snow.
stiegemeier have been recommended by two people. I've emailed them a link to the video to get their thoughts.
Can't see it as normal wear. I'm pretty sure this is a good indication of the bearings starting to fail.
What a PITA. But I'll get it sorted

Just to add I cannot afford to get this wrong.
I'm sure I read somewhere that the supercharger is $6K and an engine is $12k.
If I entrust this to someone that gets it wrong I am in a financial world of pain.

Lord Hellcat how are you making out with your supercharger problem? Have you gotten to the root cause of the problem?

Curious how it's going and hoping it's nothing too serious. Fingers crossed for you bud!

If it is just the pulley bearings it shouldn't cost that much to replace. It just a real pain to change out.

Lord Hellcat so very sorry to hear you are having these problems. I have only one suggestion if it is a defected part if you ask Dodge about sending it back to them will they replace it with you doing the repairs. Seem only fair.
Prayers that they will make this right for you and you can get your Hellcat fixed soon.
