I get that question quite a bit and so far have resisted the following reply:

No it is the cardboard version.

Just wondering what you response might be?

Number two question -- how much did it cost? I do not care for that one and just shrug it off -- figure if they can ask a dealer.

The first car show I took the Cat to last year... you would think I was a Rockstar when I pulled in... I was the only Hellcat there and everyone knew what it was! ;)

Suprisingly people know what to look for:

Hood. The fender badges. They are still like tracking unicorns, so when people see one it's like WINNER!

Yup lots of gear heads at car shows. First car show was Mopar sponsored (local car club) and took best in class. Not so much with the average peraon on the street. They know but want confirmation -- I guess.

The more people keep putting Hellcat parts on lower end Challengers/Chargers, the more we will hear this.

There's a kid running around my area with badges and the hood, but obviously couldn't afford the front end. He was answering stranger's questions at the gas pump until I pulled up behind him. He stopped talking for some reason.

One dude asked if I added the CAT badges. I told him "Nope, factory was kind enough to do that for me"

Get that question at almost all shows. Funniest was a Gentlemen was convinced 'there are no 4 door hellcats' and I had stuck the emblems on the side as I was backing in at a carshow. Just said, really.....popped the hood.....end of story.

They do have a unicorn factor. I'm in the middle of a Kitchen remodel, which means there are quite a number of contractors moving in and out of the house. Every one of them ask me "Is that a Hellcat?"...and it's sitting under a cover in the garage! They ask me to take the cover off and then start taking pictures and stuff...really amazing. I've had Porches, Boss 302, '66 Stingray in that garage - none of them ever drew this much attention.

In the beginning I got this a lot. Every gas station stop was a 20 minute class on red key/black key, driveability, why four doors, and gas mileage. Today, most people into cars in some kind of way know what it is. I mostly get "nice car" and "what's your top speed?"

My all time favorite wasn't a "Is that a Hellcat?" but back in the early days, I was outside Home Depot and a guy and his wife walked by, the guy said to his wife "Look at that beautiful car that dude has, why can't I have a car like that? I have to drive our POS instead" kept me smiling all day....:)

Hoods, front ends, and wheels are one thing. IMO, it's their car and their money, they can do with it what they want. But badging is a whole different story. I believe that under no circumstances is it acceptable to put SRT 392 and/or Hellcat badging on a lesser model. And I think people should actually have to prove ownership of the vehicle just to purchase the badging, although it would be impossible to regulate that.

    Just my humble opinion.
