This was posted up on the Lx forums and it's not clear if it's a HC or a 392. What do you guys think?

Clearly a Hellcat Challenger based on the satin spoiler. And a stock 392 wouldn't be side by side with a stock GT500.

Yup, that's a Hellcat. Saw that over on another GT500 forum. Both manual cars. Apparently, a race between a stock GT500 vs an auto Hellcat and a M6 Hellcat is currently being filmed. That should be up in about a week or so

No. Only scat pack has satin and the Hellcat has a slightly different design. Scat, 392, RT have a dip in the middle of the spoiler.

Has to be a 'cat or it would have been blown right off the road.

So you're saying the Hellcat is slow? Because that's a Hellcat and a gt500.

The video just cuts out before you can see the HC badge and the hood looks pretty smooth. I meant to post this in the Challenger section.

I thought the hood looked smooth also but I might have saw a glimpse of the side intakes.
The GT500 is lighter and has 663 hp so power to weight makes it close plus they start moving which helps the GT500. I am told the Hellcat will launch much harder as the solid rear axle on the GT500 does not allow as much traction.
Time will tell as soon as my Hellcat is proper broken in we will take it to the track and run it side by side with my GT500. My friends are placing bets.

Anyone can boost a 392. Just saying there is not enough of the car shown to says it's for sure a HC.

    Yep

I would think from a roll the hellcat would pull past the GT. But who knows maybe he only had the black key

If that was a Hellcat, there is no way it would stay side by side with a 2013/2014 GT500 like that with the black key. The GT500 and Hellcat trap nearly identical trap speeds in the 1/4, 1/2 and full mile. With a roll race, I would expect them to be more or less, side by side, with the Hellcat auto probably pulling about a fender or so depending on how the GT500 driver can shift. From a dig, the auto Hellcat with it's gearing will jump ahead of a stock GT500 every time, and stay there. The GT500's tall gearing and the "clutch protection" in the stock tune make it absolutely impossible to get the 60 foots we have been seeing on the auto Hellcats, like the 1.6X second 60 foots Johnny has been getting.

It probably seems that way because the camera was in the GT500. The super long gearing makes the cars speed very deceiving.
