VIN# HC111861GH117296. This happened so fast. Ordered 9/11/15 and the dealer said it's awaiting final inspection and a transporter. Haven't looked up the window sticker or status number yet. Too excited!

Can't wait to officially join the hellcat.org crew! I also want to thank everyone on this forum for their vast knowledge with this car and cars like it. The education I'm getting from reading all your forum posts will be invaluable when I apply them to this car. Thank you all again!

Congrats on such a fast acquisition process. It is looking like finding a dealer with a valid allocation is a bit difficult, but once the order is in and sticks, the order/delivery time is similar to getting a "regular" car. You are gonna love your HC. The last 2 weeks were filled with anticipation to the max. The day she arrived was a rush and a 1/2. Make sure kitty has a nice clean space to sleep, double check #'s with your insurance co. and start browsing for aftermarket accessories.:D:D:D

It has definitely set in now that there is a VIN. Super nervous. Anything you would recommend or did to yours when you got it? The aftermarket accessories specifically.

The only thing I have done...so far...was to get the black locking lug nuts. Window tinting to come someday, but basically leaving it stock for now. The only issue I have had was a leaking left rear diff seal...first noticed it on day 1 and it had only 6 miles on it. It came that way from the factory and dealer fixed it pronto. Currently at 3600 miles and loving it more every day. The first few days I had Kitty, I would go to the garage and just stare at the Cats Head on the fender. Now I do this every other day...LOL. Keep us updated as the big day gets closer and feel free to ask for any input if the need arises.;)

When you go to pick it up, take a few deep breaths, try and focus and do a thorough walk around, under hood, trunk, front splitter, exhaust ports, hood/trunk lid/door alignment and all four wheel wells. Even if you could care less about the electronics package, at least let them show you the magic. It may cue you to something you never thought of.

Take plenty of pictures (as you are gaining your focus)...you'll be glad you did. Great day, that day.

Due to my lack of knowledge about cars in general, would it be wise to take someone with me that knows what look for as far as imperfections go? Like a mechanic etc..?

I mean I could probably spot the physical imperfections i.e. paint scratches and such, but I would not know what to look for under the hood or wheel wells etc..

Not a bad plan, but you will be fine. The main reason, beyond obvious issues that should not be present, is to help you become familiar with the vehicle and to quell some of the excitement. Knobs and screens and levers can be tricky when your excited. Knowing where your battery, fuse box and oil dips stick really helps. Plus, there's that supercharger thing that most road cars don't have. They'll show you all that...no worries.
