I actually watched that review earlier today and felt it was pretty good. Even at the end he said he loved the Hellcat.

The reviewer is lashing out against Dodge for going against the wishes of the masses, and his collective-governed mentality has just short circuited. All true car enthusiasts (including this reviewer) actually love the Hellcat, even though some of them still bash it because it doesn't conform to their feel-good vision of the ideal futuristic car. The Hellcat is classic old school "bag of hammers", while they believe the car of the future is supposed to be economic and reserved. They don't want anybody to stand out or enjoy anything in excess. Damn you individuals, you shall conform to the majority!!

Its done more as a "tongue in cheek" review... it was made to get a rise out of people, and he succeeded obviously!

Just the title of the article shows the level of maturity we're dealing with. And he really wonders why it isn't preferable to install your own supercharger rather than have the factory do it on an engine who's components are designed to handle the extra power? It's called a warranty. What a dumbass.

Come on guys...We're HELLCAT owners.... We can take a little good-natured ribbing...Not some overly sensitive Mustang or Camaro owners....

I think the majority of Hellcat owners will leave them stock.
A small majority will increase boost/tune the PCM etc., and an even smaller percentage of those will actually try to "game the system" if something goes wrong.
In my experience there are more Scat Pack/SRT8, Mustang GT, Camaro SS,and Z07 owners that do more in-depth mods, and are more likely to swap back to stock is something catastrophic happens.
It's not something that Hellcat owners have a corner on.

I'm not sure any article will ever top the story from 2008 on "The Truth about Cars" announcing the new Challenger as the 'Retro-Flop' that will never last more than a couple years at best. And then to see all the hater comments agreeing with the author. Nothing like the time that passed between then and now to put biased agenda into perspective. LOL

I don't remember the ZL1 Camaro getting this much attention. The Z28 did, but it sat in show rooms and didn't sell worth a damn. The Mustang GT500 didn't get this much attention and when they were in dealer's show rooms you couldn't touch it for anywhere close to MSRP. The Hellcat is very attainable, drivable and yes, the best at what it was designed to do.

I'm willing to bet that the douche who made that video hasn't actually driven the car.

Or if he did, he probably crapped his drawers, and then realized he's a typical metrosexual, testicle-free millennial pantywaist, and as such he needed to lash out and make a clickbait video to deride the Hellcat for not being an econobox suitable for his vision of what a car should be.

Now I have to go and look up all those high tech terms you used to see what you wrote.
    Gotta love it.
My first time at a car show with my Cat and a kid comes up to me and says, Hey you could get killed in that car.
    DUH
I replied that you can get killed in a Prius too! He walked away confused. love those haters
