late night computering.. had a craving for tacos.. last time this happened i was pulled over about the same time of night. so there i was, minding my own business driving the speed limit not speeding at all. windows down, radio playing softly not bothering anyone. i crossed over an intersection he was pointed northbound at a stop light in the middle lane. i was heading east bound on a completely different road. he turned out after i passed by cruising at the speed limit (i made sure) and as soon as he pulled out i knew it was on. he came up behind me, not right behind me but enough to run my tag and read any notes any officers may have typed internally or to see what prior citations or crimes i may have committed. i purposely did not signal as i switched into the turning lane of the place to get tacos to see if he was indeed about to stop me. sure enough he swerved as it caught him off guard and he pulled up behind me...(i definitely knew at that point what he was about to do) he waited until i pulled into the taco spot to light me up. sigh.. already had information ready and interior lights on.. handed everything to him.. he asked if my registration was current? i said yes. another officer pulled up.. a moment of wheels turning and silence for a while.. dispatch radio went off.. "ok, have a good night"

starting to feel like i am getting profiled and harassed now as i am getting pulled over pretty regularly.. not everyone out late is up to no good.. my car may look evil or like a "bad guy car" but not everyone that drives a bad car is a bad guy..

came back home at cruising speeds and ate my tacos.. o_O

The city guys here have a stack of real things to deal with other than pulling over brand new cars for nothing

Blaze, you must live in a nice peaceful spot where they have nothing else to do, crime is zero? That sucks!

Not only are our cars magnets for people be use they are a hot car, they could draw the attention of police by simply being louder. The car draws attention regardless if it is civilians or police. The latter being worse if we drive too fast

Just curious why you purposely did not signal... giving him a reason to pull you over... and write you a ticket? Don't give him a reason... You must have done everything right after that if you didn't get any tickets.;) Was he a State, County or Local cop... It seems the local guys do more of that type of stop.

After a certain time of night the possibility of those on the road, heading home from the bar goes up. Driving in front of a leo at that time of night they are looking for a reason to check you out. Change lanes with no signal is reasonable cause. Type of car doesn't matter.

I agree with the signal thing, but it's pretty obvious he was going to stop you anyway

    no pretty large town

it was in a spot where crime has been increasing lately.

i did not signal to see if he was going to swerve over to keep following and pull me over.. i was kinda being a jerk. i was annoyed i guess.. he was local sheriff's office.

he did not mention the lack of signal. he really mentioned nothing.. i was an odd stop.. almost like i felt like he felt i may have been someone else? the signal thing was just a passive aggressive jab from me. hehehehhe ;)

...and in a raging fit of jealousy (mixed in with e.d., small hands, and an overdose of late night dunkin donuts), he had to stop you and see someone actually cool enough to buy a real car, knowing in the back of his mind that all the hot chicks love hellcats

I never get a second look from cops around my area. Being a former LEO I know cops around here don't pay attention to cars like the Challenger. The riced out Hondas, Toyotas, Nissans, and the like do get their attention because most of the street racing and drug traffic are done by them.

I'd like to see his face if you had your cat on the passenger seat. I'd shit my pants! Those things are huge.
