So I called Arlington Dodge in Jacksonville because I see they have Chargger HC inbound to see if it was sold and it was, but the sales guys says we have 2 more inbound (of course you do) do you want me to check on them. So I tell him yeah I would like to know if they have VIN's, status codes, options etc... And he says he will call me back and just before we hang up I say "hey I don't want to waste you time, what are you selling them for?" He says 15k over, and I scoff and he justifys it with down in Miami their asking 25k over MSRP. Does that make you feel better ASSCLOWN? Thanks dodge thanks a lot! You suck!

LOL they actually think over marking it and comparing it to another state is fair... at least my sales rep has a $5k markup and some other dealerships in our city have a $10k - $25k markup but he wouldn't ever compare our city to another city in another state. It's SOME of the greedy dealerships that suck. Sorry to hear this experience you've had

I went into a dealership that services my car in Fl. I was going to order a Hellcat and when I asked the sales manager about mark ups...he said and I quote " How much are you willing to pay ". I left with all my business and future business.

You think someone will buy them or do you truly believe that dodge will catch up and the dealers wont be able to monopolize?

Believe me when I tell you that it was , and is very difficult for me to walk away from something I want, however one must stand firm in their beliefs and greed in not a trait I support.

Call one of Arrigo's 5 dealerships in south Florida. I'm curious to see what his prices are since he is current chairman of the National FCA Dealer Council. The one bashing dealers in the autonews article. I bet I can guess the answer.

Walked out of two of their dealerships. When I was at them they were spinning a very different web.

I'd like to hear about any waiting lists, required deposits or current pricing from his dealerships.

The Arrigo family was there the day I got mine and could only get them down to $8000 over.
They said the only reason there coming down $2000 was because of my history buying
from them.I tried hard but they stood firm! 20150301_150324 (Large).jpg

I think we are already seeing the pressure to dealers and prices dropping in areas. If the Hellcat isn't sold, they lose more. It's gonna catch up.:D

I posted in another thread, a link to cars dot com with like 125 HC Challengers sitting on lots. Looks like the >5 days should be hurting them, but is it really when dealers say they have multiples in the pipeline. What happened to 1 per dealer and no allocation if a car was in the build process?

I would trust Dodge before I would trust most of these dealers. There are a lot of people on this site waiting for cars their dealers promised them would be the next allotment. I have no way of knowing what is true, but hope that there are methods in place to penalize dealers who aren't behaving properly!!
