All after market products have Claims of Grandeur, but 38.95hp increase is something one has to test for themselves. My 2012 300 SRT8 with a stock air box gained a (dyno runs) 14hp increase (425rwhp to 439rwhp) with a simple K&N 33-2460 drop-in oiled filter. Dyno base run's were b-4 and after. So it is up to each one to double check their claims. Per K&N they Guarantee horsepower increases, just how much? Ask them IF their stated gains are FULLY Guaranteed for those claims with a FULL money back refund - Including return shipping?

I thought around 640 hp to the wheels was within the normal range for the Hellcat engine, they are showing that with their air intake installed so that engine must be a weaker one or they just didnt setup the dyno and/or car right. If the gains are true, its a good deal at only $275.00 which is their current price for it. Oh and they have a $25.00 rebate till the end of this month, that will bring it down to $250.00 and free shipping. Too bad I dont have my car yet or I would buy it and test it out!

I'd save your money for a second. There is the AFE thread where a person is going to test the filter without the air box. I'd say wait to see those results before pulling the trigger on the K&N.

I'm no fan of expensive hyped parts that have a negligible value.

However I just find it hard hard to believe that two seperate and relatively large companies would make claims that are so far off the mark, and which are so easy to verify. Either they are that dumb or there is something else going on we haven't considered.

I'll sit back and wait for more data..

Wonder why K&N doesn't require the 200+ miles for it to "break in" before dynoing it again?

I think at this point, I'll keep mine stock.

Maybe that's why their dyno produced 39hp less than a stock Hellcat, then miraculously made what the rest of us are making. Of course, it was the 200 miles!

Ya I noticed that the dyno numbers were low to begin with. Either way I think that this and or the BWoody will be the better performers. Open air always does better than the sealed box intakes.
