So, now that I have the SRT, my truck is sitting a lot. Since the only garage large enough to house the truck is where I'm keeping the car now (most convenient to house), the truck is going to sit outside most of the summer. It might be driven less than once a week, at times, meaning... hornets and yellow jackets in mirrors and door jambs!

How to keep them away from the truck?

Maybe just spray in the mirrors at night once in a while with wasp spray. The door jambs just open doors at night and wipe them off with a rag. Probably no real good answers. I have had many adventures with junkyard cars and wasp nests. Sent me running many times.

not meant to be stupid on this, but try an old set of your spouses nylons or the like and cover the mirrors with those.

Not like the public can see it, if it is in your yard while this is done.

If you can acquire a bee or wasp hive (abandoned, and not even whole), put it on/near the truck.

the "netting or weave" on the panty hose is small enough that it should keep them out.

Saw that somewhere so i can't take the credit for originality

Def using a rag with residue of bee spray is s bad idea with paint. Nylons is a great idea. Instead of someone wearing on your head, use them for Mirrors and jambs

Thought about that, but I already have six! If I add on another, the truck is still second in line to bringing my racing boat home from remote storage. My wife might have a problem when I start planning garage no.7.

I have enough garages to get all vehicles indoors on snow days, but since two bays double as a woodworking shop, the truck must sit outside most of the year.

Bees and wasps are territorial. If they see a nest/hive of any sort, they won't build

By spraying yellow jacket nests at night, the yellow jackets will be less likely to fight back. Hair spray may also kill the wasps and bees around your truck. Keep in mind, getting rid of wasps can be dangerous, especially if you have bee or wasp allergies. It is always recommended that you seek professional help to eliminate all kinds of wasps. Professional pest control companies like pest control Davis work methodically and dedicatedly to make your home pest free. The moment you get in touch with a reputed pest control service in your area, you get the peace of mind that the problem would be dealt with most efficiently.

Geez, where are you guys living that you get such bee & yellow jacket infestations in vehicles - the Brazilian outback?

    Never seen that 'round here.

Man up and whack 'em with a fly-swatter. :D
