    Met Big Daddy about 10 years ago at his museum. He is a great guy and full of drag racing stories. Sounds like he is still having fun!

    Wow takes me back. Lived in UT used to head to the strip many times more times than I can count. Met Don, loved seeing Cha Cha take him on in ther early 80s, when Shirley was finally given her due aand allowed to take on the big dogs of those times. Back then pits were free walking trailer to trailer drinking beer to high heaven, total riot. And no protection none you could stand 6...10 feet from the strip. If you dared. Feeling the power as they blew by. Miss thoe days...

    I remember watching him break the 300mph barrier.. some 25- 30 years ago? first to use aircraft tires on the front if I remember correctly.. his theory at the time was to punch a hole in the air then drive thru it!!
